Presidential elections are held every six years. Since December 1, 2018, Andrés Manuel López Obrador has been the President of Mexico.

The President’s official residence and main workplace is Los Pinos located inside the Bosque de Chapultepec (Chapultepec Park) in Mexico City. The National Palace, a building facing the Mexico City Zócalo, is officially the seat of the Executive Power, but is used only for ceremonies or national holidays like Independence Day or Revolution Day.
